oolunchbox Posted February 12, 2007 Share Posted February 12, 2007 I've been pouring over the forums for the past few days trying to figure this out and cannot, please help. I've been trying to install either the 10.4.8 JaS, 10.4.6 Jas, or the AMD 1048 on an Athlon64 3200+, Asus K8N, 1 GB of RAM, a Western Digital 200GB Hard Drive, and a Lite-On Dual Layer DVD Burner. Each time I try to install I get about 75% of the way done and it either hangs or gives the "There were problems with the installation" error. What am I doing wrong? There is really nothing that can be done if it doesn't work, aside from trying a different version. macFabri Posted February 13, 2007 Share Posted February 13, 2007 Try to burn the DVD again and format the HDD using DiskUtility on instalation menu. Try different HDD if you have another one. oolunchbox Posted February 14, 2007 Author Share Posted February 14, 2007 I've re-burned the DVDs at 1X and still the same results. Unfortunately I do not have another HDD to try it on, I've got a feeling that my be the problem seeing as I've tried to install about 10 times now. Select only the minimum you can.. try to see what part of instalation it hangs.
