Carlitos
Hi, sorry for this topìc, but I'm new into the OSx World. I cannot understand how I can put the ATI drivers into my OSx installation. My situation is: Laptop IBM ThinkPad R40 (2722-5MG) Pentium Centrino M 1.3GHz, 1024MB RAM, 120GB HDD, 15 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD, 32MB ATI Radeon 7500, 24x10x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD, Intel Pro 802.11b wireless, Modem(CDC), Ethernet(LOM), Secure Chip(TCPA), IEEE 1394, 8 cell battery, WinXP Pro 2 primary partitions: WXp Prof and Mac OSx 10.4.8 JaS in the last one. My problem is that when I run Mac, after the boot, appear a Black Screen, and that's all. No succes, no new screen... I think my problem could be the ATI Radeon 7500. Any idea? But after read some forums, I can't understand how to install new drivers, for example, if I can't run Mac. Note: I can't boot with the DVD Installation... Thanks a lot Carlos. kurija
Hi Carlitos, I had the same problem trying to install JaS 10.4.8 SSE2 on my IBM T40. But then I tried a fresh install without installing any of the extra drivers at setup time, and it worked fine. Perhaps you are trying to install drivers at setup that are causing the problems?
