macman22
Hi, I just downloaded JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3. I went to install it on my HP Pavilion DV6119us notebook and am having an issue. It wont see my SATA hard drive. I suspect its an issue with my controller, and i have found some threads which offer help, but i am somewhat of an OS X86 noob and dont know where to start. I found these topics: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=31091 http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...0&hl=dv6000 however, it seems as if these are instructions on what to do from within OS X. But i cannot even get it to install! Is it possible to do any of this from within Windows XP? (now i am not a windows noob, lol) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, for some reason, my keyboard and touchpad arent working within the installer. I thought it the image i downloaded had PS2 support and all that. Am i mistaken? Is there a way to fix this? Thanks! thunder.scripts
You can install OS X using VMWare install the new SATA driver and then copy everything to the original partition. Two things: 1. I still would like to know how to add the kext to the install dvd. 2. I think there is no working SATA driver for nForce 430 Good luck!
