suphazone Posted February 11, 2007 Share Posted February 11, 2007 Everything was running fine till this morning. But now OSX says to restart in the startupscreen. This is what is says when start with -v: Im using JaS 10.4.8 most recent DVD (amd/intel sse/sse3). Using acronis bootselector. XP on primary master, OSX on secondary Master. I didn't install anything or didn't change anything since the last time i booted. Tried booting in safe mode (-x) but got the same hang up during OSX startup screen. Can someone help me out, i couldnt find any info in the forum. This is my system: Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.06GHz 2 HTT Processors per Core MMX, CMov, RDTSC, SSE, SSE2, PAEVersion Level 1 20 KB Level 2 512 KB Motherboard: Abit BE7 (Intel i845PE-ICH4) Memory: 1,5 GB SDRAM Graphicscard: Geforce FX5500 256MB Vendor ID 0x10de Device ID 0x0326 Revision ID 0x00a1 Harddisks: Total amount 440 GB Primary Master: 320 GB NTFS (windows XP pro) Secondary Master: 40 GB HFS+ (OSX 1.4.8) Secondary Slave: 40 GB FAT32 External Firewire: 40 GB FAT32 Soundcard: Soundblaster Audigy Monitor: Apple Cinema Display 30 inch Nevermind.... I pulled out the external firewire storage, now everything is working like before. frizbot Posted February 11, 2007 Share Posted February 11, 2007 Yeah, it looks like some USB driver problem. Odd that it was firewire. Post your firewire external box chipset (oxford911 etc) in case of an incompatibility there. suphazone Posted February 11, 2007 Author Share Posted February 11, 2007 the external what? sorry im noob.... its an external storage case, and it contains a 3,5 40GB HD (fat32). Normally its plugged in my ACD 30. After i boot in OSX, i can plug it in and osx recognises it and im able to use it without any problem. Anywayz its not that of a big deal for me, just means cant have it plugged in whilst starting up.
