alpine
To start, i would like to give kudos to all the people posting help on this topic. this dual boot will make my life a lot easier when debugging various things. and who wants to bone up another 2 grand for a decent apple anyhow? ok. i have the jas mac os x86 10.4.7 release. i am using acronis disk utility to manage my partitions. cpu: SSE2 compatible system: alienware dual processor P4 3.2 GHz when i began the OS X installation, i was given the error prompt of "You must restart your computer..." this error appears to come from OS X and not the darwin boot loader. anyhow, i read around on this site and found answers to boot the installation disk using the "-v" parameter and voila, worked like a charm. once the installation was complete, i restarted the system and into the acronis OS Selector screen to boot into my fresh installation of OS X. i was met yet again with the same error mentioned above. my question is simply, how to solve this? more specifically, is there a way to add the "-v" boot parameter to darwin through acronis to boot in the same manner as i did with the installation disk? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!
