I know there are a few users on this board who have the dv6000z series laptop, and would really like to get OS X running on it. The downside to this is that almost nothing on this laptop works out of the box. So, I will update this thread as support for its various pieces of hardware become compatable. Some users who have this series of laptop will have slightly different specs than mine does, so just reply to this thread with any different hardware you might have.

HARDWARE:

MCP51 SATA controller: as of now - NOT SUPPORTED

Turion 64 X2 TL-50: SUPPORTED

Geforce GO 6150: According to the Wiki, this card works using macvidia, and the 6200 (which is an extremely close GPU) works with QE and CI with Titan Kext or Natit Installer 1.0. SUPPORTED

Conexant HD audio: It is hard to find out exactly what chipset this is from HP's documentation, but from what I've found it is the ALC880. In this case it is SUPPORTED - GO HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS

Keyboard and Mouse: Must use USB during install, but this page might have a patch. UNKNOWN

Nforce4 Ethernet: I'm again not sure of the exact chipset, but it is reported as Nforce network adapter. If this is the case, then go HERE for instructions. SUPPORTED.

Broadcom Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN: UNSUPPORTED

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As these things change, I will update this thread with links to the instructions and drivers. I hope this is helpful to those of us with this particular laptop.
