How do I set up Apache (Personal Web Sharing) so people can access it who are not on my network?

I want to set up Apache (personal web sharing) so people can view my website from across the internet, with no need to be on my network. Right now, the only addresses are 192.168.1.---, and 192.168.1.---/~Ian/. Can I even make it like that? For instance, could people type in my modem's IP (66.31.217.---) and access my website? Thanks.

yup its working great. Now just point your dns of your domain to that ip (I use Zonedit) and your set.
