banditoT Posted February 10, 2007 Share Posted February 10, 2007 K, i just installed jas osx86 on my gateway laptop w/AMD turion64. After installing the computer rebooted (as its supposed to) when reboots after loading bios it just goes to a black screen with the flashing underscore, any ideas? thestevo Posted February 10, 2007 Share Posted February 10, 2007 The blinking underscore signifies that the system can not find an operating system. This most often stems from a partitioning error. If you are using 10.4.8 without the_defiant's PPF this is very common. The newest disk utility has some problems properly setting up the MBR. the_defiant created a PPF to downgrade the disk utility on the install disc, thereby fixing this problem.
