manw
Hi, i deactivated the HT feature from he MB's BIOS, and i noticed quite an increase in the xBench's scoring, and i kinda feel the computer more responsive (P4 Prescott 3.0, D0 Stepping, SSE3). Is this for real, or just a placebo? thanks L.E. - As i can't edit the title, please note that it's not hyper-transport, but hyper-threading. Thanks lord_muad_dib for pointing that out. lord_muad_dib
lol, hyper transport is an AMD thing and totally different what you deactivated is hyper threading, and yeah sometimes gives better results leaving it off Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41658-hyper-transport/#findComment-298041 Share on other sites
