manw
Hi, i managed to install the jas 10.4.8 AMD/Intel SSe2 SSe3 version on my Hacktel, and it almost all ran out of the box. There are some minor problems i need to look into like the network cable plugged/unplugged issue i see many Intel Pro/1000 users have. But the biggest problem i found is the video playback. The DVD player crashes with some kernel panic, same goes to VLC, and QTime plays the files just ok, as long as they're at the actual size. Once i switch to "fit to screen", or "full screen". the framerate dropps to around 10. Is there a way to fix this? BTW, my configuration includes a Gigabyte 8KNXP (Rev.2) mobo (intel975+ICH5 chipset), a P4 Prescott 3.0 with HT, and the graphic card is Leadtek A340TDH (GeForce FX5200). I see in the graphic system information that Q2 Extreme is "not supported". Does it have anything to do with this? Please help. manw
ok, i got a screenshot of my graphic part inside the system info. Seems that the video card is seen as AGP, but it has no core support, and no QE/CI...i tried every method available, but Natit drivers (for some reason, the installer won't open the Natit.pkg Edited February 10, 2007 by manw Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41544-choppy-qtime-playback/#findComment-298908 Share on other sites
Prawker
i have the same card, but mine is a PCI, not an AGP, but i installed using the TubGirl DVD, i had QE/CI support right out of the box, you might want to give that shot if you can't get QE/CI to work. Thank you! Edited February 11, 2007 by manw Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41544-choppy-qtime-playback/#findComment-300005 Share on other sites
