renegadeandy
Hi! So i wanted to install gcc onto my mac. Best way i read to do this was to install xcode 2.4.1. So i signed up to the apple developer pages, and downloaded the 932 mb dmg file. I mount it, and try to run the xCodeTools.mpkg, it opens the Installer for a flash and then quits itself. The same thing happens when trying to install any of the packages sepeartely. Can anyone give insight into why this is happeneing? Thanks Andy Edited February 8, 2007 by renegadeandy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41537-installing-xcode-on-mac-osx/ Share on other sites

renegadeandy
hmm, toast isnt installed. Also - i pop in my osx cd whilst in mac, and it does exactly the same thing - the instal utility opens for a matter of seconds and then dies. Should i try installing it by booting the disc and trying that way :S???? console reports: dyld: Symbol not found: __ZN3KJS9ObjectImpC1Eb Referenced from: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/JavaScriptGlue.framework/Versions/A/JavaScriptGlue Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/JavaScriptCore.framework/Versions/A/JavaScriptCore same as before!!! Guest Koh-i-Noor
Right click the installer icon, select get info, and check "Open With Rosetta." See if that helps.
