VacTacks11
Hey guys. This is my third time trying to install OSX (tried a year ago and 4 months ago). My problem now isn't in the install itself - it's that OSX won't boot after a successful install. Here's the requisite pre-amble... iso JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.iso ppfs merged with ppf-o-matic (in this order) PPF: JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSe2.SSe3.v1p.ppf PPF: Defiant.diskutil.7.ppf hardware Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 Intel D975XBX 2GB PC5300 DDR2 RAM 2x 250GB SATAII BFG GeForce 7900 GS OC dual boot steps followed I followed, to the -t, the directions in the following link (paying special attention to the diskpart> active section and the Repair Section). http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=39253 I selected the correct Intel SSE3 kernel and the nVidia drivers. Again, I've been through this before. There wasn't any issues with the install. But as soon as the MB finishes posting it boots to Vista, not OSX. I just re-read over the post and there's some information in there about CHAIN0 that I haven't applied yet. I guess I'll try that and get back to you. If you have some suggestions in the mean time I'd appreciate it. Thanks [EDIT] Yeah, that's what I need to do. But I don't know what a GUID is - and I can't find a single post here that tells me where I can find it. Any help would be appreciated! I'm so close now! VacTacks11
Nevermind. Got the audio fixed as well. Thanks for... ahem... all the *non* help here folks. Proof that most solutions can be solved if you look hard enough. I guess this can be locked now.
