Hey yeah, ghsu3d, I am having the same error: "Your computer does not meet the minimum hardware requirements for Aperture". What the {censored}!?

• 17- or 20-inch iMac G5 with a 1.8 GHz or faster PowerPC G5 processor

• 15- or 17-inch PowerBook G4 with a 1.25 GHz or faster PowerPC G4 processor

• 1 gigabyte (GB) of random-access memory (RAM)

• Display with 1280 x 854 or higher resolution

• One of the following graphics cards:

• ATI Radeon X800 XT Mac Edition, X850 XT, 9800 XT, 9800 Pro, 9700 Pro, 9600 XT, 9600 Pro, or 9650

• ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 or 9600

• NVIDIA GeForce 6600, 6600 LE, 6800 Ultra DDL, 6800 GT DDL, or 7800 GT

• NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500

• DVD drive for installation

My rig:

-Hackintosh x86 P4 3.06GHz sse3 (JaS 10.4.8 with all the latest....)

-1GB 667MHz DDR2 RAM

-DVD drive for installation

Anybody have any ideas, fixes, or anything for that matter besides upgrade? I just spent 3 1/2 days "buying B) " this proggy, I dont think I have the patience to find and buy  another newer version.

BTW it is v1.1

View this post here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;hl=aperture# to edit plist if you dont have sufficient memory. On the same post there is a link to this site: http://creativebits.org/photography/apertu...its_the_streets that will explain how to use Hexedit to bypass the post-installation hardware check (title of post is "Runs on any Mac"). Worked like a dream and I'm in like Flynn.

Credit to GmanBen for the origonal memory fix post and jzr from the second link for the happy happy post-install fix.
