Hi,

I installed Mac OS X 10.4.1 easily and even made my own guide for it. However, with my new 10.4.8 JaS image, I set up my HDD according to this guide, one as unallocated and one as NTFS (I don’t need to write to it). I then use diskpart to properly set it up… then I go and boot into the DVD. I install without any hitches while including some printer drivers, the language and translation files and the AMD ATA KEXT file and the nVidia driver thing. However, after I restart my computer and take out the DVD, I get to Darwin and OS X begins to load with a LOT of text scrolling really fast down the screen, but then, it slows down and soon after something about the loginwindow being started, the whole process stops at a “skebose” message and stays stopped for 15 minutes, so there’s obviosuly something wrong… what could it be?

nVidia 7600GT

Asus K8V SE Deluxe Mobo (did they fix that LAN prob yet)

There seems to be an problem with the login window thing in a few of the releases. Search for +"login window" +jas in the advanced search window. If you get too many results, try viewing the results as posts and using your browsers search function to pinpoint the appropiate posts.

I have seen some posts about this lately. Sorry I can't be of any more help.
