Hello to all of you!

Finally I have a real Tiger at home

Used JaS 10.4.8 with SSE2 & SSE3 patch.

Computer Specs:

Asus P4S800D

P4 3000Mhz HT

1 Gb RAM

Maxtor 20Gb IDE Disk (SATA controller is not recognized)

Club ATi 9600 PRO AGP 256Mb

Sound Blaster Live Value

Samtron 76E 17" CRT

I have only a few questions.

Obviously I have searched the forum but not all went well :P

1. Change resolution + refresh rate.

Installed Katana but that screwed my installation and had to do it all again...

What is the best how to for my graphic card?

"Type: Display

Bus: PCI

VRAM: 256 MB

Vendor: ATI (0x1002)

Device ID: 0x4150

Revision ID: 0x0000

Display:

Resolution: 1024x768

Depth: 32

Core Image: Supported

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Quartz Extreme: Supported"

2. Onboard SiS900 Network Card = bullsh**.

Is there any hope for this network card?

Thank you all for this great community

Best regards,

Anthon.

Good morning :thumbsdown_anim:

I have used a script ATiScript0.2 that was mencioned at one of the tutorials.

At the first use "sudo /.doe.sh none 1152x864x32" it did nothing....

My res. was the same and the system was a lot slower...

Tried another time with "sudo ./doe.sh 08 1152x864x32 1 1" and then the system hanged during start up...

I'm going to install Tiger again and let the res. at 1024x768@60Hz... Better to have something than nothing :thumbsup_anim:

Thanks anyway.

Best regards,

Anthon.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey again :)

I have managed to install CallistoFB (008) and modify the 9700 kext.

Now I have resolution/refresh rate customization.

But, I would like to add a new resolution to my monitor profile! I only have 1024x768 & 1280X800, when I wanted 1152x864 too.

How can I do this?

I have searched in "com.apple.MonitorPreferences" and some other files but with no luck...

Thanks :)
