gforeman
What's your motherboard model? Chances are that your chipset isn't fully supported yet, and that the JaS installer simply doesn't have the drivers for your ATA/SATA controller on it. If you have a motherboard based on the Nforce 410 chipset like I do (or any other unsupported chipset), for example, that would explain why you can't see your hard drive in Disk Utility. Finding out your motherboard model/chipset, as well as the interface of your HD would help to find out whether OSx86 will work. goodoporn
I sometimes have trouble installing os x after windows. So, I usually just wipe my hard drive and put os x on first. This helped when I was having the same problem as you are. lhsonic
Go to Utilities -> Disk Manager or something along those lines. Click on the mac-ready drive you made with Windows (basically unallocated space set to active) and then make a name for it, set the format to Journaled and then click the erase button. The drive should now mount and it should now be installable.
