BRiseagainst
Okay, so after like 4 days of working to get OSX on my PC I managed to get Jas 10.4.6 to install on my computer using SSE2 pkgs because the SSE3 wouldnt work (kernal panic).... If I run a CPU-Z on this processor it says it HAS SSE3 - yet OSX will not recognize it for the life of me. I tried installing the latest 10.4.8 kernal (using the Jas DVD with SSE2+SSE3 Nebuchanezar kernal 8.8.1) and it WILL NOT WORK. Supposedly you are supposed to be able to select the type of CPU you have after installing by going into single user mode and running a "CPUID.txt" file, but that file is no where to be found on the disk.... Is there a way to get 10.4.8 to work on this processor or are there any SSE2 packages for 10.4.8? I am using a dedicated hard drive for OSX btw. Thanks for the help guys. **** BY THE WAY - All I really want is full QE/CI support for my MSI 7900GT and it looks like Natit is the only way to go and that requires 10.4.8 (Titan drivers work for full resolutions, but no acceleration)**** Edited February 5, 2007 by BRiseagainst Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41251-amd-x2-4600-am2-sse2-works-but-no-sse3/ Share on other sites

(assuming its AGP not PCI-x of course) Mine was set to 256 and I got no CI/QE, set to 128 and I get CI/QE using Titan or Natit.
