MF Doom
Hi, I'm currently dual-booting OSx86 and Windows XP on my Dell 300m laptop. I have the laptop hard drive paritioned with two primary partitions, one for each OS. I also have a external USB 2.0 hard drive formatted with FAT32 to share files between the two OSes. However, OSx86 will randomly corrupt the MBR on the external. I know this because OSx86 will stop being able to read the USB hard drive and Windows XP will tell me the drive is not formatted. I then have to use TestDisk to rebuild my MBR and get my drive so it can be read again. I never lose any data but this is getting really annoying. Does anyone know what's going on? Thanks in advance. Edit: Using OSx86 version 10.4.8 with ppf1 and the deviant ppf. tuxuser33
Try this: disable "sleep harddisk as possible" or so ..bla bla in system preferences. Helps me to manage randomly freeze my system.
