blizzardtweaker
I'm one of those that jumped straight back into OSX as soon as i heard that the intel wireless drivers were working on iwi2200. the last time i installed osx was when it was 10.4.1, it worked flawlessly (except for wireless n screen res) and was really fast considering my laptop specs: -Intel (core Solo) Centrino 1Ghz -512 ram -Intel 852 intergrated graphics -40gb hdd -Intel 2100 wireless unfortunately, when i tried installing 10.4.7 onto my laptop, it got stuck at the boot screen, so i tried verbose, n realised that it was booting, just REALLY slowly - so slow it took an hour n a half to get to the OSX installer. It wasnt any better from there on, the keyboard/mouse wasnt working so i used a usb mouse, it took 10+ seconds to register a click... After the whole ordeal (appx 4hrs), i restarted to find the words "Cannot load Operating System" In 10.4.1, installation took abt 15mins, ALL hardware detected except wifi n widescreen problems. I havent really been in tune with the latest osx86 info, but i couldnt find anything in search. Any help is appreciated. thx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41193-jas1047-install-painfully-slow-then-cant-boot-osx/ Share on other sites
e-rick
Sounds a lot like -not so good-install dvd. burn a new one. preferably at a slow speed, fast burn speeds often f*ck up the install dvd for some reason, and that makes 'm damn slow Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41193-jas1047-install-painfully-slow-then-cant-boot-osx/#findComment-294384 Share on other sites

kateikyoushi
I tried the same release on my X505, similar config as yours and got the same problem. No keyboard or mouse recognised, boot up till language selection took 20 minutes it is not the discs fault. An older version I tried in 2005 boots fast and installs, only problem is the lack of sound and wireless. I try 08.
