Dirk R. Gently
Firmware Update totally destroyed my computer! I got a good new MacBook for Christmas and have loved it! Lately though, I noticed the Software Update and decided it might be important. After I did the Firmware Update its been behaving like ****. Wireless performance is terrible, it's got glitches on screen changes and wireless network changes. I've had it to the tee and just hoped I could changed everything back. When I went to Apple web site and found Firmware Restore CD 1.2, I nearly jumped 6 feet high. I tried it though and no avail. Firmware Restore will restore only after a partial firmwarm update. :&( So I need a little bit of advice. I have a Linux Install CD that I can just format the whole drive and just wipe out the EFI partition! ... I want it out! Deleting that partition, and reinstalling Mac OS X would fix the problem? Anybody have any ideas about this? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41146-firmware-issues-and-restore-cd-isnt-working/ Share on other sites
