Migrating from windows

Ok, I'm finally able to use OS X thanks to the wonderful drivers for nforce4 sata created by some living god in this forums

 

Now, I have some doubts:

 

1. Is there any way to enable my 7.1 sound card? It works in OS X, but I cannot use the additional channels, only audio out, in and mic.

 

2. Is there any mail notification program? something like poptray for mac

 

3. Some good utorrent-like program for mac? I'm using Azureus but I'm not too fond of Java since it's a memory hog. I tried Transmission but it doesn't let me select which files to download, so I'm stuck with Azureus.

 

4. A good p2p client like eMule?
