IsixInc
I downloaded the JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3 DVD and burned it to a blank DVD. There is no boot info on the iso so it will not boot from the DVD. How can I fix this? I have PowerISO and MagicISO so I can add Boot info but I dont know what to add. I did some searches on google but still don't get it. Help! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41021-unable-to-boot-jas-1048-dvd/ Share on other sites
blackturtleneck
The image is a standard ISO and is bootable. Use Nero>burn image. DVD Decrypter (what I used) can burn it properly too. IsixInc
I tried using Nero now and still cannot boot from the DVD. I tried other bootable DVDs that I have and was successful so I know it's not my computer, it must be something I am doing wrong. I did notice that the iso has two formats to it, HFS+ and ISO..... maybe this is where the problem is? I'm tempted to download the 10.4.7 DVD and try that but am afraid that I'd waste all that time downloading it and having the same problem. Help! James Watt
your bios probably needs changed. your hard drive probably boots before the CD rom, there for you think the CD is not bootable. change the BIOS settings to boot from CD rom before booting from any other device.
