kiawud
Hi all, I've been 'testing' the 10.4.8 JaS install on a Dell system I have. Everything seems to work well except when I try to create DVDs from .avi files. I've tried using Toast 7 and FFMpegX ... but both result in DVDs with audio/video sync problems (the audio lags the video by several minutes). I'm wondering if this is due to using a 'hackintosh' or if I'm just doing something wrong in the conversion. My system specs are: Dell XPS 400: Intel Pentium D Dual Core 3GHz 1 Gb RAM Nvidia GeForce 7300 LE Internal SATA Drive (also tried with external USB/IDE Drive) Any thoughts? TIA, -Kiawud Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40932-avi-dvd-bad-av-sync/ Share on other sites
aberracus
the problem doesnt happen in any of my ihacks, is something wrong with your system or sttings try Toast 8 first, recheck the codecs, maybe you have gron codex, look on demonoid for intel quicktime codecx Good Luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40932-avi-dvd-bad-av-sync/#findComment-293602 Share on other sites
kiawud
I got a hold of Toast 8 and will give it a try. I was able to convert one avi to DVD without audio problems. So it might possibly be some settings in Toast/FFmpegX that I need to tweak. I'll keep playing around to see what I can come up with (a third avi I tried with Toast produced no sound at all). -Kiawud Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40932-avi-dvd-bad-av-sync/#findComment-294545 Share on other sites
