XLostSpartanX
I am really starting to think that I am not supposed to be able to install this stuff... Now that I have gotten the new JaS 10.4.8 download done and patched it with the jmicron patch when I boot up and where it ask me to press any key to install I do so but it tells me that it can't find the file com.apple.boot.plist or something like that. -Nick Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40857-cant-find-file-on-boot-up/ Share on other sites
megavolkan
Yeeah man welcome to the club!! This is the bleeding problem for a looong long time, no solution i'm sorry I still cannot understand why this "/com.apple.boot" thingy is not a sticky topic because it's one of the most repeatetive questions. If you are lucky to get a USB optic drive and try installing with it i reaaly wanna hear the results Good Luck man.. rectifyer
is your keyboard plugged into the ps2 port? if its in usb, the install disc probably isn't finding it and not even realizing you pressed a key. the error simply means no bootable OS was found on the hard drive. if you don't press a key, it is failling back to try and boot from the hard drive instead of the dvd. after you install the os, that error wouldn't appear since the bootloader will be configured to boot off the hard drive correctly.
