retroz
OK, maybe its due to flip4mac or that I am not watching on Windows Media player, but for two hours its only halfway done getting ready to stream, I suppose like Vista, halfway done. From what I saw, working with word, to insert image, 5-7+ clicks to resize and place and drop down to center, move image. OSX Pages, just drag the image. A-huh, and forget about replacing a photo, that would probably take at least 20 clicks. LOL. toniola
What link were you trying to stream the vista thing at? I'd like to see if Flip4Mac will stream it. I checked this video out, and F4M worked perfectly. BTW, nothing looked anywhere near as awesome as the Mac OS, but I bet PC users will enjoy the upgrade. http://zdpub.vo.llnwd.net/o2/eseminarvista.wmv Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40811-anyone-watch-the-vista-stream-takes-forever/#findComment-292026 Share on other sites

Yours was pretty good. Anyone else have other review videos? Some in Apple discussions are saying MACBOOK won't really run Vista that well, so MB's might need a bump in GPU (yayyyy),... Also, the "Hello I am a MAC, and I am a PC" will have to change now, a little, some things, searching, creative, templates, are now included on Vista, still think OSX is by far better, but its a jump for those on the PC. Heck, it now includes setting up a ETHERNET like a mac, simply plug it in and it finds it. Still no TAB QUITE or Dashboard, etc....you can get Y'Z dock though. Just some ideas.... At first I think its going to bomb, unless they unrestrict some of the DRM, unless someone of course comes up with a hack. Which they will I'm sure. Vertigo50
As for the streaming problem, the problem is in your computer, because it starts playing almost immediately on my PC. Don't blame the stream for the fact that Apple doesn't support one of the most widely-used video formats on the web. As for the "One Feature" about Vista that will make you go "Wow", if you're looking for one big feature, you might as well give up, because you won't find it. Now, if you spend a few hours with Vista, you'll see all the little things that are improved, the quick search, search folders, improved graphics, workflow enhancements, better user management, improved security, etc. etc. etc. After a few hours, you'll never want to go back to XP or OS X again. But if you're trying to make a quick judgement based on a magazine article looking for a single feature, then no, you won't find it. If you really think that ONE feature would be worth the cost of ANY operating system, then I have an operating system that I built myself, that I would love to sell you. It has a "change my life" button. If that's not worth the $3000 price tag, I don't know what is.
