dragonpool
I found my Macbook Pro 17" C2D is very slow and the hard disk is always very busy. I used a disk benchmark tool in Windows XP and Vista running in Bootcamp. The read/write speed is only about 5MB/sec. I have a DELL laptop, which has an old Centrino Processor and 80GB 5400RPM disk, the read/write speed is about 9MB/sec. This windows tool is here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Benchm...isk-Bench.shtml So could you please use this tool and report your results? I'm planning to replace my current hard disk (160GB 5400RPM) with one of 100GB and 7200RPM.
