chinabean
OK So i just installed JaS's 10.4.8 any just about everything worked right out of the box except dual monitors - Which I fixed with Natit. The only qualm I'm having is that some applications seem to be randomly hanging. eg. Ill be listening to iTunes, browsing the internet with Firefox and then I want to change a song so I click the itunes logo but it doesnt come up (sound still playing). I then proceed to try a force quit and nothing happens. Finder sometimes hangs too, but not in the typical "windows freeze" where the mouse doesnt move at all. Just nothing seems to respond until restarted. zultdush
i have similar issues.. same install, everything works fine till i install video.. then, it all goes to hell. I get freezes where the mouse still moves, yet i cannot do anything. ive tried every different way to get video working on my x1900xt. nothing works. perhaps we're not booting with the right commands? like in the bootplist thing/ darwin bootloader? e6400 C2D gigabtye ds3 2x1gb ddr2 1 sata drive x1900xt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40643-applications-randomly-hanging/#findComment-298890 Share on other sites
