IgnorantAlmond Posted January 31, 2007 Share Posted January 31, 2007 Hey guys - Having an issue... My JaS 10.4.8 AMD Intel DVD (snagged off Demonoid) errors out at 82% while writing files EVERY TIME. I've even gone as far as re-burning the DVD, and downloading another copy of the DVD from a torrent. Has anyone else had this issue? Would anyone have another install that would be ideal? Lemme know - I'm at a loss for words here... Thanks, guys. Mr. Freeman Posted January 31, 2007 Share Posted January 31, 2007 Can you maybe post the error report? I had that problem and it tried to copy some HP-Printer drivers. I just removed them from the installation list. (Where you can select the things to install). IgnorantAlmond Posted January 31, 2007 Author Share Posted January 31, 2007 Yeah - I've attempted to skim down the install to just the base files, and it still errors out at 82%. Unfortunately, the only error report I get is a popup that states "An error as occurred during the install. Please check the disc for scratches..." and so on, then gives me an option to...well...restart. Regardless, heres what happens: No matter what I select to install (just base files, all files, Intel files, most used hardware drivers, etc...) it errors at 82% during the "Writing Files" stage. Being that it doesn't matter what I select to install, I'm lead to believe that at 82% the install is committing itself to some form of verification of the install... Be that as it may, if someone could lemme know if it is possible to pull a full error report, I'd love it. Otherwise, if others have had the same issue...well...yeah.
