Posted January 31, 2007 Share Posted January 31, 2007 OK so, I have three DVDs all of which are the JaS 10.4.8 and none of them work.(I think some may be different versions though) The first DVD is getting hella kernel panics, and wont get past anything.(this one is patched using Defiant's {censored} Utility) The second one gets slightly less kernel panics and gives the "you must restart your computer..." message after the grey apple screen. The third one is working but it has the up disk utility. I mean, it actually loads and installs but makes the HD unbootable. This is an uber pain in the ass! I can't keep wasting DVDs on this. But, I dont want to give up because I know I can make it work. Does anyone have any advice to get around the kernel panics or fix the disk utility? I downloaded two different JaS versions of 10.4.8 and none of them seem to be the right one(similar to the third one) Also, I can't find the right one because I dont remember which one it was. I thought the first DVD version, the patched one from above was the same as the third DVD, but apparently not.(unless I didn't patch it right?) So your saying even with the jacked up Disk Utility it'll work?
