moarfish
I have installed the MacOS X 10.4.6 on a PC for my mother but she hit the update button and make the whole system down. I have to reinstall for her. I'm planning to make it 10.4.8 so that the update reminder will not say hello again. However, if Apple release something like 10.4.9, the same problem will occur again. Is there any method to disable the update reminder? My mother is very happy with her 10.4.6. Thank you.
lord_muad_dib
in the updater control panel there should be an option to disable it
chusan01
I find a big hammer (from the Apple Store) most useful. Also chant 'Masuri Nigeria' very good and normally work OK Capt Bob Mugabe :pirate2: :pirate2:
zackint0sh
like lord_muad_dib suggested, go to System Preferences --> Software Update, uncheck the "Check for updates:" checkbox.
