Hey All,

I am having installation hell. I installed 10.4.6 myiso and was totally sucessful the first time around. Everything worked. Then, my dumbassness update via Apple and lost it all.

Now, I've repartitioned, and started all over. I get through initial DVD boot after restarting 2 times after hanging during grey apple logo. Once through, i get a generic installation error during base install part 1. It asks me to restart and install again. I have no idea what i'm doing wrong. I've tried about 8 times choosing different installation options to no avail.

My understanding is that i don't need printer drivers, add. fonts, languages, or the amd, sse3 options. I have sse2. what i don't know is if i need to install the Maxxuss ownage option. Either way, i've tried just about every combination and nothing has worked.

Is there a way I can run in a log mode or something? i know the -v trick but that only gets me through the boot. During install I can only see the surface. If you give me some help, please tell me in layman's terms.

THANK YOU!!!

Thanks,

Daniel
