I can only confirm with what I have and hopefully it will help you....

Dell E510

3.0 Prescott 64bit hyperthread Pen4 Chip

1 GIG 533mhz ram

Intel 945G motherboard

SATA (1x300GB, 1x160GB) Segate / WDigital

Came with X300 ATI, installed Nvidia 7300GS

At this point these adjustments were made

- Install was flawless with no issues (using mifki kernel on 10.4.8 install, also use sigmatell 9200 patch for working audio out of black sound port. However, have not tried input and green output does not work. Stereo is working great with no pops or issues).

- After install proceed to install edited IONETWORK.kext that allows built in ethernet to be recognized

- Installed newest Titan driver which locates and uses QE/CI on Nvidia board.

The machine is working so well that I purchased a copy of OSX and plan on using this as my main computer.

* Parallels works with no issues as well (tested with XP and Linux)

Your biggest concern will be the motherboard that dell uses in that machine. Intel boards have a great success rate with OSX however issues such as sound and ethernet are your top question marks. Call up dell and ask what board they are using and then find the specs and post them.

From there we can give you a better answer. :(

Hope this helps.
