guitardood
I need to get an AGP Extended desktop dual-head display video card. I look at the WIKI but it shows they are not Extended desktop working. Can any one point out a pretty good Extended desktop video card for 2 screens? I don't play games, so something cheap I can experiment would be nice. I'm seriously burnt out on trying to get one, I did read the wiki and about 500 forum posts. I don't have PCI-E is that a major contributing factor in my failure? I installed an ATI 9700 pro but nothing with Extended desktop that I could figure out. Thanks. (Embarrassing it took me 3 solid days to get OSX86 installed perfectly minus video acceleration and Extended desktop) I need a beer like mad perhapse a keg. U.C.
I have a Geforce 4 Ti4200 made by Leadtek/Pine/XFX, which along with Natit 0.02 gives QE and Dual Monitor support. AGP8X ofcourse. BTW: Donot get saddened by the 3 Day time, the learning curve is exponential. zackint0sh
i bought an albatron geforce 7600 gs (256mb, agp) on newegg for about 135 USD shipped, i use that w/ dual display and full acceleration. using semthex's 8.8.1 kernel w/ spanakorizo's method (walterav's description of it, anyways; both on this board). using w/ agpgart 2.2 (x86dev.org), everything working perfectly.
