erbic Posted January 30, 2007 Share Posted January 30, 2007 I tried to use OpenOffice today, after having successfully used it many times. At first, it seemed to be starting, X11 opened as usual... then quit. The OpenOffice app errored out with something to the tune of "script took too long to respond". I found this rather odd, so I went and tried to open X11 manually. It seemed to start... then I realized Xterm hadn't opened. Five seconds later it quit on its own. I deleted X11.app, reinstalled it from the OSX CD, and then applied the latest update from Apple. Same issue. Starts in dock, no Xterm, quits in ten seconds or less. What the hell's happening with my X11? I'd like to get this working, as I really like OpenOffice. This is on a real MacBook Pro, by the way. Not a Hackintosh.
