I have been trying to setup the Callisto drivers to change my resolution for days. I did a search of the forum and came across this thread here.

From there I found this thread here.

I figured I may aswell try to install that one since it mentions being for Device ID 0x5B60 whiich is exactly my device ID. I go ahead and install it and this is what I get after I reboot:

That's the maximum my monitor works and I'm not sure why that happens but I can't ever get it to go back to the previous setting so I end up having to wipe and re-install. I'm a total noob so I'd really welcome some assistance. Thanks in advance to all who help.

You dont need to re-install over and over again if this happens.

Just reset your computer, and press F8 at the options when osx starts to boot.

Type -x and press enter. Osx will then boot in safe mode at 1024x768 (if im correct).

You can then fix the driver issues with your vga card (which i cannot help you with)..

Good luck :thumbsdown_anim:

I would advice you to install osx again. This time..do not install any drivers for your videocard.

Then see if osx boots normally. If it does..the reason why it doesnt boot and go to a blank

screen has to do with the drivers you're loading. (in your case : callisto).

What vga card are you using ? Are you using the old kernel or the new one ? Aren't there any

other complete drivers for your vga card ? If not..and if you only want to change your resolution

to lets say : 1280x1024..you can always perform the boot.plist trick which changes your resolution

to 1280x1024. These are just ideas...

Good luck again ! :)
