MarcusAurelius
You have to edit /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortAtheros5424.kext/Contents/Info.plist. Change pci168c,1c to pci168c,13 in the IONameMatch field. Then in terminal type. sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions Edited January 29, 2007 by MarcusAurelius Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40385-wlan-pci-card-support/#findComment-288302 Share on other sites

consolation
done it isnt fixed. any other ideas please? Check your device & manufacturer ID in windows, in case it's not 0013 & 168c after you sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/ sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/ instead of touch do: sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions.mkext sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache sudo reboot If you have the A3 version of this card it does not work with linux, usually a bad omen of os X. Check the sticker.... MarcusAurelius
Sorry, I didn't realise this, but your DWL-G520+ has a TI ACX100 chipset. My DWL-G520 is Atheros. You're out of luck. Luckily Wireless cards are one of the less expensive parts of a computer. kraftfahrer
It was really very expensive, around 80EUR. I'll try later, or with another wlan card. But on Knoppix 4.02 i could get this started with ndiswrapper and the xp driver inf once. Thats why i thought it will run some way. Thanks for now. consolation
Try adding your IDs to one of the plugin plists in /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ you MIGHT get lucky. It might be a lost cause... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40385-wlan-pci-card-support/#findComment-289735 Share on other sites
