Im extremely new to OSx86 and basicly am very intreeged with what has been done,

 

i have a dell e1705,

 

2.0 GHz intell core duo

 

120 GB 5400rpm harddrive

 

1 GB ram

 

ati Radeon mobility x1400

 

dell wireless 1500 draft n

 

1900x1200 screen with True Life (dont remember the technical name)

 

dell wireless bluethooth internal modual

 

I was wondering what i could get out of a OSx86 installl with this system.

 

Also i currently have XP MCE installed on this, is there a way to install osx86 without losing this windows install?

 

I know that the specs i put up arent to detailed, so if theres anything i left out that you need just tell me.

Everything except internel ethernet and wireless won't work. I think the graphics will work not sure. The bluetooth will work.

 

You can do it without losing MCE, but you should backup just incase this goes wrong.

 

How to install without losing MCE ( SIMPLE ):

1) Backup

2) Resize your windows partition to allow room for os x

- You can use Built in windows tool's ( Will post links to how-to's when I get home )

3) Create a new partition

- You can use tool's build into windows tool's ( Will post links to how-to's when I get home )

4) Install OS X

- Pritty simple

5) Not sure which bootloader to use, sure someone else will post which one to use, I will have a look and see which one is the best to use
