anakoda
Hi, is there any possibilitie to transform a FAT32 partition into a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) partition? I tried it several times with the Disk Utility from the Mac OS 10.4.8 Installation package, but I always get the Error "Could not read partition map". thestevo
I don't think it works like that. You would have to have a utility specifically designed to change the partition type, just like there was from FAT16->FAT32 and FAT32->NTFS. I don't know if one exists. I would say copy the data off, wipe the partition with your HFS+ type, and copy back on. marliwahoo
You may need to repartition the entire drive. Sometimes just reformating one partition on a two or three partition drive does not work.
