DiaboliK Posted November 2, 2005 Share Posted November 2, 2005 whenever i hit the restart from within apple it will go and restart but when it halts the cpu it will just hang there and not shutdown, altho shutdown works fine. anyone got any help for me? if not it dont matter cause i can hit the restart button on my case. -heres my setup : shuttle sb61g2v3, intel P4 3ghtz prescott, 1gig ram, nvidia geforce fx5700 (yes i know my mobo supports qe and core but i need it for starwars galaxies), dual boot - EViL XP Beta 2 on a 200g WD sata and OSx86 on a Maxtor 120g ata/133. NewMacFan Posted November 4, 2005 Share Posted November 4, 2005 I have the same issue, but I have a slightly different configration. I have XP on the Master IDE and Mac on the slave. From what I can find so far it is Darwin sometime only recognizes Primary IDE, if you have OSX on the slave or on a drive which is not primary, I guess rebooting is the only option.
