MasterKevosavi
I too would like to know this. I've been looking for some time now for a XFi driver for a hackintosh. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39882-sound-blaster-x-fi-support/#findComment-285723 Share on other sites
MasterKevosavi
By the lack of replies, I'm going to assume that there isn't an XFi driver for a hackintosh... frizbot
Smart assumption. USB, sometimes. Creative internal cards, not really. Creative is {censored} for support, especially on the mac since they released a Soundblaster Live Macintosh with unstable drivers and abandoned it. I hate their cards, I hate their software, and I hate their company, so I'm probably not an impartial judge. Anyway- http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Creative Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39882-sound-blaster-x-fi-support/#findComment-288847 Share on other sites

keen
Could someone port the linux driver. Its kinda crackly and crappy, but its better than no sound. When i had my old machine I think someone ported a linux driver for a realtek sound card. It was onboard. wingrunr21
Considering the Linux driver A] barely works and B] is about 90% closed source I highly doubt anything can be made to work on OS X. Your best bet is either convincing Creative to write an OS X driver (good luck) or getting someone like Auzentech to write an OS X driver (good luck). Plucka
Has anyone found a driver, or found any way to get a sound blaster X-fi working with mac? If so, PLEASE send a link! Thanks Hey all gave up trying to get onboard sound working on my P5B board so I found a Creative Xmod and have to say my hassles are over!!! This just works out of the box and I have both input and output regardless of which install Im running. Oh and the sound quality is top using X-Fi in the Xmod itself adds an extra dimension to all my music and films, if you can find it I highly recommend you try it. Cheers Plucka Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39882-sound-blaster-x-fi-support/#findComment-1121609 Share on other sites
