scabadaska
About a week ago I posted that I got my geforce 6600 working with the natit kext. Indeed this is true and I am very thankful. Here's the thing: At first, I could only load up on VGA. Being the OCD maniac that I am, I wanted DVI working. I searched all over and end up trying to plug BOTH VGA & DVI in at the same time. BAM, it worked, but in a very odd way... I have a dell 24" monitor where I can flip between the DVI and VGA. I plugged both in, rebooted and I now have both, but it thinks that it is two separate monitors. This really isn't all together a bad thing, I am just curious. I then tried DVI by itself to no avail. So, why will the DVI work when the VGA is also plugged in but not alone? And, why does it treat it like two separate monitors? Thank you for any insight on this odd occurrence. dong
My guess: only the VGA one can be the default primary monitor being detected by the driver.
