Reanimation_LP
I'm running the JaS OSX 10.4.8 SSE2 release that is Beta v2. Installs great. When it reboots, and I eject the disc. I can NOT get it to boot from the hard disk. All it does is it just does a blinking _. Will not boot at all. Tried to activate the partition, no go. Also, I can not get ethernet to work under it. Its the ethernet that comes built into the 845 chipset. The OS sees it, but it wont go onto the internet. I was able to get it to boot off the HD once with the CD in the drive. I turned around and it just started. Now it wont. o.o Thanks guys and gals. I'd like it to run on this build, as it'd a nice extra OSX86 machine. I threw it together out of parts I had lying around. - Jonny Specs are : 2.5 GHz Northwood Celeron (128K, 400MHz, SSE2), Acer S82MA (MX4B based) mainboard, 300w PSU, ATi Radeon 9250 256MB DDR PCI, 512MB DDR SDRAM, 6 GB Maxtor 7200RPM HDD, Pioneer 10X DVD-ROM. Reanimation_LP
No one knows how to solve my boot issue? I'm not too worried about the ethernet, as I can just install a PCI card. Macfan14
For the ethernet problem: If your modem has a USB connection, then try using that. That's how I'm browsing right now .
