n3cr0fil3
So I am trying to install 10.4.8 using the JaS AMD/Intel SSe2/SSe3 installer (burnt onto a DVD-R with DVD Decrypter). Here are my current specs: CPU: Intel Pentium D 945 3.4GHz Dual Core (SSE, SSE2, SSE3) RAM: 1.5GB DDR400 Mobo: Abit IP-95 Chipset: VIA P4M890 / VT8237R+ HDD: 2x 250GB SATA on RAID0 (which I think is the problem) DVD Drive: NEC +/- 8x DL DVD burner (I don't remember the model number but I looked it up and it supposedly works) Everything should install fine, but it keeps freezing at random times once it actually starts to install. The installer just stops installing, the disc stops spinning in the drive (the light doesn't blink and is silent), and the only way to kill it is to hard reset the computer, and it when it does, it corrupts the RAID striping so it has to be re-done. I think my problem lies in using the drives in a RAID array, though I can't see why and the only reason I suspect it might be a problem is because the disk utility sees both disks as seperate drives but won't let me make an Apple raid set up with the partition that has Windows on it. thestevo
This is a total guess... I might be totally off the mark. But try "cpus=1" as a kernel flag when you boot.
