edmoncu
Hi there, I am to report that there has been problems installing Jas OSX x86 10.4.8 AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3 PPF'ed onto my setup (please refer to my sig). I have installed minimal add-ons to pinpoint what was the cause of the problems to no avail... (Only installed Intel SSE2/SSE3 10.4.8 update. Did not install any video drivers) Installation works extremely well (never had stability issues) up to the particular post-installation part where I have to register and choose from the preferences until to the date/time settings... As soon as it goes to the desktop, the problem starts appearing... First scenario: When I am using a USB Optical mouse, as soon as I even slightly move the mouse on the finder desktop, OSX crashes right away and requires me to reset the PC. Second scenario: When I am using a PS/2 Optical mouse, I do not encounter that problem soon enough except when I open a volume or change finder preferences, it crashes randomly. No crashes were experienced when running other applications. Presently, BIOS settings were set to Optimized defaults. Please advise if there's any particular BIOS setting or hardware set up that needs to be implemented. Thanks very much in advanced!
