mutahir Posted January 20, 2007 Share Posted January 20, 2007 Hi All, I have installed 10.4.8 (Intel Machine) with the ppf applied. My Network card isn't detected at all, even though earlier OSX86 updates were detecting it and it was working flawlessly. Any Help? I followed the method of humanx to get broadcom working, at first i was successfull but another install and now the same method won't work. mutahir Posted March 8, 2007 Author Share Posted March 8, 2007 hi goodoporn, thanks for your reply, what I did was the following : I copied the IONetworkingfamily.kext from 10.4.6 and pasted it into 10.4.8 /system/library/extensions/ replacing the ionetworkingfamily.kext which was installed with 10.4.8. then followed these instructions : sudo -s (give password) cd /System/Library/Extensions rm Extensions.mkext Extensions.kextcache (no problem if one or both files don't exist) chown -R root:wheel *.kext kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions (exit terminal) Applications > Disk Utility > select your volume and repair permissions Quit and reboot. PM me if someone wants the 10.4.6 IONetworking Kext.
