sliverstorm
Hello, I've got one of the M2N-SLI Delux ASUS boards, with an NForce 570 Ultra chipset, and I'm trying to get OSX to see it... I would use PATA, if my only PATA drive larger than 10GB wasn't in my PATA-only Mythtv backend. SATA is essentially my only option. I have read that NForce4 SATA can be used by editing a file on the installer DVD, but I have not tried this yet, because I don't have an NForce4! So, basically, does anyone know for sure if NForce5 SATA is usable in any way?
chuuey
my motherboard uses the nforce590 chipset, and SATA does not work, only IDE drive is detected
sliverstorm
Has anyone tried the SATA trick for nforce3 on nforce5? I'm gonna try doing that, but I haven't just yet, an I'm curious if anyone else has gotten it to work
sliverstorm
I tried the trick with AppleVIAATA.kext and it causes my computer to crash. I now plan to test the ACHI driver (I heard about it on a forum) I have no idea if it will work, but I'll post my results after I finish reinstalling :censored2: 0x037F10DE Ethernet still doesn't work
