Wallyv
Ok so i have 10.4.8 installed on my laptop and i was never able to get OSX to boot without the install dvd. But my problem now is i lost it somewhere and cannot find it anywhere. Is there anyway to boot it without having to download the install DVD again. Is there anything i can do? Any help would be appreciated. _Wally Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39240-lost-my-install-dvd-help-plz/ Share on other sites
Macfan14
Yes there is an option, it's called "acronis boot selector". I never tried it since OS X is being a to my laptop for the 14th time. bootselector is part of some suite thing, forgot the name. Just look up "acronis" in google and you should find it. Sailfish
Is there anyway to boot it without having to download the install DVD again. Is there anything i can do? This problem is asked and answered every day in the forum... You need to make your installation partition active. There are a lot of ways to do this so take your pic. 1. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...p;hl=boot+error 2. Windows 98 Boot CD 3. Gparted on a Live Linux CD 4.
