curlyboy
Here you go then mac m8 try this 1 as the one i sent you is only for newer kernel Natit_1.0.pkg.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39143-macvidia-login-__-need-drivers/#findComment-279002 Share on other sites
MacOSMatt
hey thanks, but badness has occured. i installed Natit_1.0.pkg.zip, now it doesnt boot up, just freezes at the white apple startup screen. before installing natit: clicked installed pkg from: http://www.installers.dl.am/ (11mb): installer doesnt fully load up, just appears in tray and dissapears almost instantly. .. restarted, nothing then installed Natit1. is the Natit_1.0.pkg ALL you need to get 7600GT working? looks like il be installing osx again =p cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39143-macvidia-login-__-need-drivers/#findComment-279017 Share on other sites
curlyboy
Yes natit 1.0 is all you need well in my case it was the uni.pkg is for newer kernel but the 1.0 pkg will do the trick i just installed the natit_1.0.pkg and that was that i didnt have to edit anything or that just worked for me Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39143-macvidia-login-__-need-drivers/#findComment-279025 Share on other sites
curlyboy
Actually mac m8 i remember reading that to use gforce cards to full effect you must be running the newest kernel , Tell me your specs and well see if we cant get you onto 10.4.8 with newest kernel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39143-macvidia-login-__-need-drivers/#findComment-279027 Share on other sites
MacOSMatt
Just reinstalled osx now. computer specs Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86GHz LGA775 Gigabyte GA-8I945GZME-RH Motherboard Lakeport 945GZ Chipset 300Gb Seagate SATA2 Hard Drive 1Gb DDR2 667Mhz Ram GeForce 7600GT thanks for helping out =] Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39143-macvidia-login-__-need-drivers/#findComment-279061 Share on other sites
MacOSMatt
okay so the exact same thing has happened again.. sorta getting over this although by accident i tried installing the 11.4mb version which just pops up in the tray for a second then dissapears.. next time around i will try just the 81kb Natit_1.0.pkg.zip over 10.4.8 and see if that helps. Is there anyway i can load osx in 'safe mode' or any way i can undo what ive changed instead of having to erase partition and do it all over again? cause this is the 6th time. thanks again Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39143-macvidia-login-__-need-drivers/#findComment-279068 Share on other sites
curlyboy
yes at boot time just as you see the darwine loader press F8 then type -X X = safe mode S = single user mode V = verbose mode ( no graphic boot ) Edited January 19, 2007 by curlyboy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39143-macvidia-login-__-need-drivers/#findComment-279077 Share on other sites

DiaboliK
the last 2 jas dvd's has them plus if you look at the 8.8.1 kernel upgrade tutorial from rammjett in our tutorials section it outlines on where to get and how to install.
