fahrenheit
Hello all, this is my first time trying to install OsX on my laptop, first here are the specs: LG LS-70 FP36 Cpu: Intel Pentium-M M740 @1.733 Ghz (533 Mhz Fsb, extensions: MMX, MMXext, SSE, SSE2) Chipset: Intel 915 GM VGA: Onboard GMA 900 Sound: Onboard ICH6 CMI-Audio Ram: 2x512 Mb 533 Mhz HDD: 60GB PATA Mouse: Synaptics PS/2 Port Touchpad Keyboard: Laptop keyboard (device ID: ACPI\PNP0303\4&228561D4b&0) And now the issue that is a show stopper for me, using the patched JaS 10.4.8 dvd i installed OSx, though i had an issue right at the installer i didn't notice untill after, for some reason i didn't have my laptop keyboard on OSx (and in the installer for that mather). Booting with -v doesn't show any helpfull debug messages, nor -x for that mather. I also tried searching the foruns and googling for the answer but it isn't a very easy problem to try and relate a search question to it, so i hadden't any success finding an answer. So basicaly imagine yourself to find out that you don't have your keyboard during the post-install sequence where they ask you to write lots of stuff, it's a lot of copy paste with the mouse (which works)... The GMA 900 kernel extension from JaS also didn't work (boot would freeze when entering X) but using the vesa driver solved the issue, sound worked fine with the default driver (?). But back to the main issue, has anyone some idea why my keyboard isn't working on OSx? (usb plugged keyboards work but this is a laptop and using a usb keyboard is not an option) Thanks in advance for any reply. I have the same issue with a HP DV6248ea laptop. Thanks.
