Charlie78
Hi, new here. Have a 5.1 Surround Sound Card SC-5250 (514DX 5.1 Sound Expert Optical) from the company Trust. It works excellent in Windows with optical out so I can watch movies with 5.1 DD sound. Is there a way to get this working in Mac OS? http://www.trust.com/products/product.aspx?artnr=12950 Above is link to products homepage. I guess much has to do what sound processor is on this card, but it would be real nice to get this to work! Help appreciated, Calle Edit: I have OS X 10.4.8 installed fully working otherwise on a ASUS AK-86L Mboard with ATI x1300 graphicscard Edited January 17, 2007 by Charlie78 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38997-pci-51-optical-soundcard-by-trust-problem/ Share on other sites
frizbot
I had _never_ heard of this card. It may not be popular enough to have even been tested with OS X yet. I can't find any information on what chipset it uses either. If you knew which sound chip, you could potentially use the drivers for another card that uses the same chip. It's unlikely this "Trust" company has made their own unique chip. Good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38997-pci-51-optical-soundcard-by-trust-problem/#findComment-277969 Share on other sites
